Grace Angelique – Out of This World
Originally from California but based in the UK since 2016, singer-songwriter Grace Angelique has a distinct rock and roll grit that sounds really great and I’m definitely not the only one who thinks so – she’s been making a splash on UK stations BBC Solent, Radio Wigwam top name a few, and thi, the title track from her 2024 EP is fantastic – I love the post-punk energy, which makes ‘Out of This World’ a perfect way to kick off this week’s show.

PrettyUgly – Everybody Loves Me
“Everybody Loves Me” is a standout 2026 single by the Los Angeles-based alternative pop-rock trio PrettyUgly. Led by vocalist Parker Chrisbens (formerly the solo artist PARKER), alongside core bandmates and producers Joey Cavallo and Quinn Smialek, the band is picking up a dedicated fanbase and for good reason, and you can count me among them. Also – there’s a cool article on the band at onetowatch.com, and there is a link below.

Jam-Tako – Angel City
I had Japan’s Jam-Tako on the show back on Episode 40, so it’s been a minute – they formed WAY back in 2002 and are still at it – they’re a trio of high school classmates who share the instrumental responsibilities – they’ve got a modern ‘70’s vibe, and I really dig it, especially the slide guitar on ‘Angel City’.

Billy Mick – A Little More
It’s Pride Month, and I can’t think of a better ambassador to represent the LGBTQ+ community than Billy Mick – last year, I featured his anthem ‘Flesh and Bone’ – this year for Billy’s 5th appearance on Z-GR! Radio, I went back to Episode 7 for a favorite of mine, ‘A Little More’.

Healthy Junkies – Son and a Daughter
New to the show is London-based alternative punk band Healthy Junkies, formed by French-born vocalist Nina Courson and guitarist Phil Honey-Jones, along with Dave Whitmore on bass and Davit Gaut on Drums, The band has explicitly stated that the song serves as a direct celebration of being exactly who you want to be, standing firmly in support of the LGBTQ+ and trans communities. ‘Son and a Daughter’ was initially released on 2024 album release ‘Listen to the Mad’ and was re-released for radio in 2025 – this one leans into a heavy bass groove, and I really dig it.

Cosmic Revival – Hairy Mary
Finland’s Cosmic Revival (stylized on their single as Cosmic Rev) is a fresh arrival to the independent music scene, making their debut with the track “Hairy Mary.” I really, really like this track, and am itching to hear what they’ve got in store next, as I think they’re a band worth keeping an ear on.

Benjamin R – What’re You’re Doin’
Benjamin R is the musical moniker of veteran music industry professional Robert Selvaggio. He’s known primarily as a producer, audio engineer, and mixer, but Selvaggio has also consistently proven to be a highly skilled songsmith in his own right. What’re You’re Doin caught my ear and I really liked it, so it’s on the show.

Zero-G Racetrack – My Baby Done Left Me
Producer Bill Williams and I challenged ourselves to turn an upbeat dance-rock track into a breakup song without bumming everyone out, and judging on the feedback I get from our fans, I think we hit the mark. ‘My Baby Done Left Me’ always gets a great response live, and it’s a ton of fun to sing.

Charlie Tyler – Wuthering Heights
Our cover this week went to Number 1 on the UK Singles Chart in March 1978, and secured Kate Bush a permanent spot in music history. She was just 18 when she unleashed a track that made her the first female artist to reach UK Number 1 with a self-written song.
Covering an avant-garde masterpiece is always a massive gamble, but London duo Charlie Tyler has the vocal power to pull it off – Fronted by the amazing vocalist Charlie Tyler and backed by producer/multi-instrumentalist Russell James Williams, their reimagining of Kate Bush’s legendary, 1978 masterpiece “Wuthering Heights” is fantastic.

Estella Dawn – Winners
Z-GR! Radio favorite Estella Dawn is a New Zealand-born, US-based singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who acts as her own sonic architect—writing, arranging, and tracking her material and she does it really, really well – she has attitude to burn and a wicked way with words – 2022’s ‘Winners’ was the first Estella Dawn track I heard, and it’s still a favorite.

Mojo Juju – Rebecca
Las Vegas rock band Mojo Juju have built momentum through live shows and cool social media – Their 2026 track ‘Rebecca’ details a direct, no-nonsense confrontation about betrayal, infidelity, and the breaking point of a toxic relationship – in a masterclass in gritty rock attitude, vocalist Lea Maria Capelli brings a fierce sense of self-preservation to the track, and it’s really really great.
