Space March – Eye For an Eye
Space March is the long-running project of Sydney, Australia musician Craig Simmons. For his third turn on Z-GR! Radio I’m reaching way back to 2011 for a duet with Tania Doria AKA Electra-city off of his 2011 album Monumental, which was produced by Mark Saunders, whose credits include Depeche Mode, The Cure, Erasure, and A-ha. Eye for an Eye is a fantastic track, which is why it opens this episode.

Zero-G Racetrack – Never Ride Alone
You can’t have Z-GR! Radio without some Z-GR!, which works out because ‘Never Ride Alone’ is the electro-country Ghost story by my band, Zero-G Racetrack. The song’s about the fact that even when the path feels solitary, we’re often carrying more support and companionship than we realize.

Cavedoll / Ladies of Sport – the product REDUX
Cavedoll was formed in the late 1980s by Camden Ray, and he joins forces with UK electronic duo Ladies of Sport, featuring Derek Nikmo and Anni Hogan who is known for her work with Marc Almond. Their collab release The Product REDUX reimagines the source idea rather than just remixing it, leaning into Cavedoll’s cinematic electronic style while blending in Ladies of Sport’s synth-led experimental approach.

Radio, and for this show, we’re playing ‘All Pent Up’, their 2025 release which also serves as their opener on recent shows.

Hooten Hallers – The Rubberband Man
This week’s cover is a 1976 release that became one of the Spinners’ most recognizable crossover hits, bridging R&B dominance with mainstream pop success in the mid-1970s. The track went to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, # on THe Billboard R&B Chart has become one of the 70’s defining and memorable hits. The track is known for its distinctive groove-driven bassline, designed to mimic the elasticity of a rubber band.
The Hooten Hallers are a Columbia, Missouri trio known for their raw blend of blues rock, garage punk, and swampy Americana, and their take on ‘The Rubberband Man’ has a ton of energy and is a whole lot of fun.

Sarah Stockholm – The Light
Brisbane’s Sarah Stockholm caught my ear with her 2023 album, 2023’s ‘Trace of Humanity’ – the record has a fantastic sound that fits the Z-GR! Radio format perfectly, and there are great songs throughout, but deep cut track ‘The Light’ , which debuted on Episode 13, remains my favorite.

Whitney Tai – American Wasteland
Z-GR! Radio Featured Artist Whitney Tai’s ‘American Wasteland’ presents a stark, cinematic emotional landscape, suggested by its title and Whitney Tai’s established stylistic direction. The track sits in a space between alternative rock and atmospheric pop, and is a great example of the depth of Whitney’s library.
