Basement Alchemy – Are You Real?
Opening the show is a newcomer to Z-GR! Radio – Basement Alchemy is the electronic rock / indie-electronic project of California native Shai Pelled, who self describes as an introvert, so I may already have said too much already – that’s ok, I’m happy to let Shai’s music do the talking for him – this is ‘are you real’ right here on Episode 84 of Z-GR! Radio.
Gene Dante – She’s Outside
Episode 55’s Gene Dante is back on the show – frankly, I should’ve had him back sooner, but I’m fixing that right now- it’s been a minute since his last release, so I’m hoping we get some new tracks in the near – in the meantime, ‘She’s Outside’ is on the Episode 84.

Entitled Sons – Lover Boy
The Entitle Sons continue their upward trend – since they hit the show back on Episode 34, several of their tracks have pushed into the 6 figure stream range and I’m guessing we’re in store for some 1 mil+ counts in the near future – they deserve the success – they have a great sound, a great story – they’re all in the family including Dad – ‘Lover Boy’ opens their 2025 album ‘No Clue’ and is one of my favorite tracks.
The Now – Infection
South Wales four-piece The Now debuted on Episode 70 and has been steadily building a reputation on the UK live circuit, landing festival slots and support dates while continuing a run of strong singles. ‘Infection’ is their May 2026 release, and it is layered with a ton of great sounds.
Trouble Andrew – Boo Who?
Trevor Andrew goes by Trouble Andrew and has one of the more unusual resumes you’ll encounter – After injuries ended his professional snowboarder career, he transitioned into music and later became internationally known through his GucciGhost artwork, which ultimately led to an official creative partnership with Gucci. Under the name Trouble Andrew he’s spent nearly twenty years making music across alternative, electronic, and indie territory. I may be late to the party, but I dig his sound.
The Future Us – The Lying Tribe
Some bands tell stories. Some bands ask questions. Scotland’s The Future Us seems to be doing a little of both. They’re an Episode 1 – yes, I said Episode 1 artist and they’ve been steadily releasing singles since 2024. I’ve had them on the show several times including our ‘best of ‘Episode 50 but it’s been a long moment, so they’re back with their April 2026 release ‘The Lying Tribe’.

Sulfurized Inhabitants of the Matchbook – Pull My Hair Out
I’ve been a fan of ‘Sulfurized Inhabitants of the Matchbook’ since I first heard them back in 2021 – I’d written them off for gone when they popped up with an album in 2024 – it was really good – and even more pleasantly surprised when their latest, ‘Where’s the Music Gone’ unceremoniously arrived in January of 2026. It is also very, very good, and I had it on Episode 74, but in case you missed it the first go around, this is ‘Pull My Hair Out’ .
Janita – Digging In The Dirt
This week’s cover was the opening statement from Peter Gabriel’s deeply personal 1992 album Us – the record explored divorce, relationships, therapy, self-examination, and emotional recovery. Gabriel wrote the song as he attempted to find “the darker side” of himself and explore anger and destructive impulses. The track charted at #24 on the UK singles Chart, #52 on the Billboard Hot 100 and won a grammy for Best Music Video.
This is a particularly interesting Cover of the Week because New York City’s Janita has worked closely with Peter Gabriel’s longtime guitarist David Rhodes, who has been a significant creative partner in Janita’s career, making her interpretation of Digging In The Dirt feel less like an outside cover and more like a conversation with the song’s extended musical family. The end result is really really great.
Zero-G Racetrack – I Remember
Zero-G Racetrack released ‘I Remember’, our ninth track in 2024 – it’s as close to a ballad as we’ve come, and I wrote the vocal as a reminder that every relationship, regardless of how it ends, leaves you with positives that should be remembered moving forward.

Emma Garell – The Maiden, Pt. 1
Virginia-based Emma Garell is a Virginia-based rock vocalist and emerging recording artist who is building a fanbase through singles and live performances – she has a remarkable tonal range, moving from whisper-quiet passages into full-force rock delivery. I really like what she’s doing and it’s worth taking a look at all of her material
Trope – Pareidolia
Trope are an alternative rock band from Los Angeles with progressive elements, featuring vocalist Diana Studenberg and guitarist and producer Moonhead. I had them on the show way back on Episode 9 and again on 12 and figured it was past time to have them on again – Pareidolia refers to the ability to see meaning in randomness.

Matthew Owen Martin – As Close as Blood – Cinematic Rock Mix
Some tracks don’t just play — they unfold. And that’s what drew me to this track – Matthew Owen Martin is an independent composer working in cinematic rock space, building music that feels more like film scoring than traditional songwriting. His guitar work is epic, and the Cinematic Rock Mix of ‘As Close As Blood’ takes the whole track to another level.
