Fulvio Colasanto / Emily Zuzik – We Chase the Hunger
Fulvio Colasanto is on the show again, and this time he’s working with singer/songwriter Emily Zuzik – I appreciated the introduction to her – she has a great voice and a very cool musical journey that’s worth reading through on her website. The two really complement each other on this week’s opener – this is ‘We Chase the Hunger’

Melllo – DeMoNs
‘DeMonS’ is the latest from Melllo, which is UK artist Marianthi’s solo project. She’s been on the show before, but it’s been a while, she was on way back on Episode 13 – this track showed up in my release radar and I knew immediately that it was time to get her back on the show.

Munatix / DJ Vannini – Dancing Hard – DJ Vannini Remix
I always love it when I hear a remix of a track I’ve had previously on Z-GR! Radio – it’s really fun to hear what direction a remix producer decides to take the track – some are great, some miss the mark, and some end up the show because I dig them so much. ‘Dancing Hard’ is by Belgian synthpop duo Munatix – it was on the show back on Episode 13, and DJ Vannini’s remix is really, really cool.

Flag White – Ikaros
‘Ikaros’ by Denmark’s ‘Flag White’ is a truly outstanding track off of a truly outstanding album. It was written by Bjorn Lange and Charlie Douglas Alexander. They were silent for several years, and then dropped a track back in 2024, only to vanish again. The album is called Overgand/Undergang, it really is awesome and I highly suggest checking it out.

glow wave – Kiss Them For Me
Siouxsie and the Banshees are a longtime favorite of mine – Siouxsie was part of the early circle of friends known as the Bromley Contingent in the early UK punk scene, along with noteables Billy Idol and Steve Severin. ‘Kiss Them For Me’, a nod to sex-symbol Jayne Mansfield, released in May of 1991 and became the band’s biggest hit in the U.S. and interestingly, was the last song played on MTV’s 120 minutes. If you know…you know. Episode 13’s glow wave does the honors with their take and this week’s cover of the track.
LiTTiE / Born Runner – Feel It Coming
Littie has been releasing hit after hit after hit for several years now, and if there’s a producer who knows the modern sound, it’s him. Originally from Oakland, he has a knack for finding great artists to work , notably Kali J and ‘Feel It Coming is a joint with the artist known as Born Runner.

Zero-G Racetrack – My BabyDone Left Me
Bill Williams and I challenged ourselves to turn an upbeat dance-rock track into a breakup song without bumming everyone out, and judging on the feedback I get from our fans, I think we hit the mark. We did throw a nod to the emotive by playing the song out with a SRV blues-style guitar solo, so there is that.

-COBALTO+ – Shine
I have to be honest – I’m not sure how it is that more people don’t know about Italian electronic rock artist Cobalto – you just heard the album cut of ‘Shine’ and there’s an excellent Davide Romani remix of the song with checking out as well. The band released their album ‘Something Beautiful’ in 2023, and it’s definitely worth your attention.

Head Fake – Cigarette
Head Fake is a trio of at least Michael Baker and James Cole – they self describe as veteran 80’s performers/producers recapturing the spirit of New Wave, but I’d posit that their sound is much more nuanced than that. I really appreciate their vibe and excellent production – their sound design alone is awesome – They’ve got a ton of great tracks worth spending time with and ‘Cigarette’ is off of their 2020 effort, EP2.
able machines – Digital Precision
Synthpop duo Able Machines, out of Los Angeles, is made up of Tay Coliee and Linus Dodson and they’ve become a favorite of mine. This is the second and title track off of 2023’s Digital Precision’, an outstanding album definitely worth checking out .

Candy Apple Blue – A Touch Too Much (Matt Pop Mix)
I checked in on Pittsburgh’s synthpop sibling duo Candy Apple Blue and noticed that they’ve pushed a ton of awesome dating back to 2011 to their Spotify library and I was like a kid in a candy apple store – I reached out immediately to see if they’d like to supply the beds for this week’s show, and was thrilled that they said yes, especially because they bring remixers Matt Pop and Juno Dreams along for the ride on several tracks. While I was there, I grabbed 2023’s ‘A Touch Too Much’ which features Nick Bramlet on the mic.
