Z-GR! Radio overview right from your Host:
Have fun with the list below, enjoy the artists/music and…
“I seek that moment that lifts me off my chair, making me dance in the studio. A good song emerges when the groove grabs me, and the powerful bassline doesn’t let go. Music is the language everyone understands.” In this spirit, Ralphy Grey wants to spread passion, energy, motivation, and positive vibes. Music blogs are already celebrating him as the “Master of Uplifting” with infectious melodies.

Thanks for the awesome music beds, Ralphy!
Synthpop duo Able Machines, out of Los Angeles is made up of Tay Coliee and Linus Dodson. I tell you, it was tough picking just one track off of 2023’s awesome album ‘Digital Precision’, but ‘Watch the World Die’ got the nod, and deservedly.

I’m a big fan of quirky, interesting songs that tell cool stories, and Norway’s Ocean of Lotion (great name) has a library chock full of tracks that do just that. They’ve been together for over a decade making things interesting in the music world and their Live video ‘Streaming From the Pool’ is not to be missed, so check the link below.

I put The Brothers Burn on my playlist on 4/20 of 2022, and while that track seems to have vanished from the library (can I have ‘Too Much Funk’ back? Please?), ‘Skittish’ brings the BroBurn vibe and then some. The Brothers’ bio says that if you like The Talking Heads or The B-52’s or “Weird Al” Yankovic or Devo, you might like them, which is probably why I definitely like them.

Illicit Ghost is a Nashville artist by way of NYC – She caught my ear with the way she integrates her violin playing into her pop sound. It really sounds great. She has an Instagram Live show called the “Anti-Anxiety Hour” where she invites one artist on each show to talk about their music, process and how they stay grounded. Sounds pretty cool so make sure to check it out.
Andy Carhart’s been a favorite of mine for several years and has been a steadfast supporter of all things Z-GR! From the get-go, which is awesome (thanks, Andy!) He was featured on Episode one of Z-GR! Radio (‘Don’t Lose Your Head’) but it’s been a while and this time his fantastic track ‘Of All the Places’ is on the show.

Around NEWHD, we know good stuff when we hear it, which is why Trope is a favorite around here. They are currently, driving around in a big old bus supporting their latest release ‘Callous’ by making awesome sounds everywhere they stop, so grab a ticket and make sure you put your butt in a seat when they get there.

I do my best to make sure that all of our Zero-G Racetrack songs get equal play, but it’s a fact that every time I kick into our cover of Lady Gaga’s ‘Bad Romance, the crowd lets me know that they appreciate the effort and of course, everyone wants more cowbell.
A huge THANK YOU to Ralphy Gray for supplying music beds this week – it really has been exciting to have our very first artist ever on Z-GR! Radio back to guest and here’s something that makes it even cooler – Ralphy’s latest release, ‘Turn Out the Lights’, is a joint with awesome Episode Nine artist Chrizy with a ‘Z’. Thanks much, Ralphy, you’re awesome.
