Z-GR! Radio’s third Episode of NEWHD’s Take 5 Interview segments features Andrew Wood, AKA Rogue FX, an artist, producer and label owner from the UK. He and Scot Apathy, Z-GR! Radio’s host, sat down to discuss Andrew’s latest release, ‘Endgame’, the FiloFX label and Andrew’s approach to music and collaborations.
Z-GR! Radio is NEWHD’s weekly emerging artists showcase, and Apathy occasionally approaches artists to provide instrumental music to be played under his voice segments during the show, and in return, he shines a light on the artist’s brand, library and releases.
Rogue FX is appearing for the second time on Z-GR! Radio as the featured guest for Episode 52 – this time around, the tracks used are instrumental versions of the tracks found on his latest release, ‘Endgame’.
“I’ve had Andrew’s music on the show several times, including the lead-up single releases for the album, so I’m pretty excited about having him on the show again for the record’s release,” states Apathy. “The album has collaborations with other artists who have been on the show, which is also very cool.”
Z-GR! Radio’s Episode 52 debuts May 30, 2025 on NEWHD Los Angeles and replays on May 31 on NEWHD New York and NEWHD’s Veterans Classic Rock.
Endgame
Endgame was recorded between June 24 and April 25, it exists both as a sequel to The Fifth Step EP – the fictional near future sci-fi story of the redemption of ex mercenary Max Rogue against the corrupt Mind Corporation, but also as a reflection on the modern era and the challenges that exist in such volatile times socially and politically and the effects this can have on a human level. The album’s overriding message is one of hope for brighter times , better days and a more just and caring world. Musically, the album merges synthpop and synth-wave with dance genres such as house and nu disco and features collaborations with Aisle 9, Hollywood Brown, Mayah Camara and DEWAR as well as further guest musical accompaniments by ARPRAXIS and Dilemmachine.
‘Endgame’ releases 30 May 2025 on digital, CD and cassette.
