All Aboard with the Lord: Putting On the Armor of God
In this episode of Getting All Aboard with the Lord, Peter Goldsberry walks listeners through the Armor of God found in Ephesians 6:10 through 18. Peter explains how each piece of spiritual equipment strengthens believers against the challenges of life and the forces of spiritual darkness.
Peter begins by reading the full scripture from Ephesians 6, emphasizing that our struggles are not physical struggles but spiritual ones. God equips believers with armor that is dependable and powerful for every season of life.
Belt of Truth
Truth holds life together. It exposes deception and sets the believer free. Truth anchors identity in Christ and stabilizes the inner life when the world creates confusion.
Breastplate of Righteousness
Righteousness protects the heart. It is received by grace and expressed through integrity and obedience. It shields the believer from moral compromise and strengthens daily decisions.
Shoes of the Gospel of Peace
Peace brings stability. Believers are called to be ready to share the Gospel through compassion and clarity. Preparation and prayer open opportunities to bring good news into a troubled world.
Shield of Faith
Faith is a barrier against doubt and fear. It provides confidence in God’s promises and redirects focus from circumstances to the character of God. Faith creates endurance and courage.
Helmet of Salvation
Salvation renews the mind and offers clarity. It replaces hopelessness with purpose. The promise of redemption and new identity protects the believer from damaging thoughts.
Sword of the Spirit
Scripture is the primary offensive weapon. It confronts lies with truth. Peter encourages listeners to speak scripture boldly just as Jesus did in the wilderness.
Living the Armor
Peter shares testimonies of people who overcame challenges through scripture and prayer. The armor is active. It must be worn daily to experience its strength and protection.
